On July 8, Wei Zhaohui, Secretary of CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, presided over a meeting to coordinate the city’s top ten infrastructure projects and top ten investment projects. She emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Hunan Province's work, earnestly implement the deployment requirements of the CPC provincial committee and the provincial government of Hunan, make every effort to solve problems and remove obstacles, and accelerate and improve project construction to provide strong support for the city's high-quality development. Municipal leaders Yin Peiguo, Hu Heping, Yu Jianyong, and He Weiying participated.

At the meeting, Wei Zhaohui listened to reports on the progress of the city's top ten infrastructure projects and top ten investment projects, discussed and resolved specific issues with relevant department leaders, and put forward clear requirements for the next steps.

Wei Zhaohui pointed out that the city's ten major infrastructure projects and ten major investment projects are important engines for promoting high-quality economic and social development of the city, as well as important levers for expanding domestic demand, stabilizing growth, and addressing weaknesses. All levels and departments in the city must firmly establish the concept of "projects as paramount”, work diligently and pragmatically, overcome difficulties, and promote high-quality development through high-quality project construction. We must accelerate project construction with all our might. For projects that have not yet started, we must analyze the reasons one by one, pinpoint the root causes of the problems, remove obstacles, and ensure that they start as soon as possible. For projects with lagging progress, we must seize the golden period of construction, reverse the schedule, and work as scheduled to push forward with all our might. We must accurately align with the policy directions of higher authorities, strengthen project reserves and preliminary work, and vigorously strive for funding and projects. In particular, we must adapt to the new requirements for project access and ecological and environmental protection, strengthen pre-emptive guidance and comprehensive services, and help projects to be implemented in a compliant and efficient manner. We must increase investment attraction efforts, adhere to attracting large and high-quality investors, and meanwhile carefully consider the economic, social, and ecological benefits, truly bringing in high-quality projects with strong driving force and good growth potential. Relevant municipal leaders should strengthen coordination and take the lead in command; top leaders of the Party and government at all levels should devote more time and energy to planning and implementing projects; and relevant departments should strengthen their sense of responsibility and form a joint effort.
