On the afternoon of January 24, the Huaihua Traditional Medicine Industry Matchmaking Conference was successfully held at the Beijing Liaison Office of the People’s Government of Huaihua City. This event, jointly organized by the Beijing Liaison Office of the People’s Government of Huaihua City and the Huaihua Enterprise Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, focused on deepening industrial cooperation between Huaihua and Beijing, promoting the coordination between TCM resources and markets, and assisting the “Welfare Lottery-Assisted Agriculture” production and sales system to expand to the Beijing-Tianjin region.
Huaihua, known as a “treasure house of Chinese medicinal materials”, boasts high-quality geo-authentic medicinal materials such as Poria cocos, sealwort, Longya lily, Lonicerae flos, caulis sinomenii, and rhizoma gastrodiae (known as “Huai Liu Wei”) as well as abundant resources. To promote high-quality industrial development, the Huaihua TCM Industry Association took the initiative to hold the “Welfare Lottery-Assisted Agriculture Production and Sales Matchmaking Activities” in Huaihua and Shenzhen. The matchmaking conference held in Beijing marked the official expansion of the activities to the north China market.
At the symposium, Su Wenjie, Chairman of Huaihua Enterprise Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, stated that the chamber of commerce will actively mobilize enterprises in Beijing to support the TCM industry in Huaihua and promote resource integration and cooperation. Li Hongjun, Secretary-General of the Huaihua TCM Industry Association, provided a detailed introduction to the current development of the local TCM industry and the “Huai Liu Wei” product system. Vice President Li Huanguo and Director Huang Xiangqing promoted characteristic industries such as the Poria cocos industry and sealwort industry.
The conference resulted in several cooperation intentions. Specifically, relevant parties plan to establish the Liaison Office of the Huaihua TCM Industry Association within the Huaihua Enterprise Chamber of Commerce in Beijing as a permanent institution in Beijing, develop the “Huai Liu Wei” Brand Display & Experience Center to enhance brand influence, hold a salon on high-quality industrial development to bring together experts and enterprise resources, promote the coordination between the “Welfare Lottery-Assisted Agriculture” channels and the Beijing market, and expand multi-dimensional sales channels to include supermarkets, pharmacies, and e-commerce.
This matchmaking conference is an important move for the Huaihua TCM industry to proactively integrate into the national market and coordinate with high-end resources. In the future, Huaihua will continue to rely on its liaison office in Beijing and the chamber of commerce, deepen cooperation with Beijing in industry, science and technology, and talent, and facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the TCM industry as well as rural revitalization.
