From January 26 to 29, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Huaihua Sub-council (CCPIT Huaihua) joined forces with the Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone to form an investment promotion task force to conduct pragmatic investment attraction and economic and trade matchmaking activities in four places in Zhejiang Province, namely Pinghu, Hangzhou, Yiwu, and Yongkang. With focus on bags and suitcases, agricultural machinery, and agricultural products, the task force precisely engaged with high-quality entities and achieved phased results, setting the stage for foreign trade efforts in 2026. 

Since the beginning of the new year, CCPIT Huaihua has taken proactive and targeted measures to effectively stabilize foreign trade and orders, strengthen the effectiveness of industrial chain investment promotion, and assist local enterprises in expanding domestic and international markets. Closely following the plans for industrial chain investment promotion, the task force focused on the core objectives of stabilizing foreign trade, expanding markets, and introducing projects, precisely engaged with relevant entities by sector and region, and conducted targeted negotiations on cooperation. 

In Pinghu, the task force centered on the development of the bag & suitcase industry. It visited the Pinghu Bag & Suitcase Industrial Park and Newcomer Group. It held meetings with the Pinghu Bag & Suitcase Industry Association, and the two parties reached a preliminary cooperative intention regarding cross-border e-commerce collaboration in the bag & suitcase industry and expanding the export of Huaihua bags and suitcases through the Pinghu Dubai Luggage Exhibition and Sales Center, building a new bridge for Huaihua’s bag & suitcase industry to access overseas markets. 

In Yongkang, the task force centered on the introduction of agricultural machinery as well as import and export trade cooperation, conducted in-depth inspections of the China Southern Agricultural Machinery Industrial Park and two key agricultural machinery enterprises, held extensive consultations with local enterprises on agricultural machinery production and cargo consolidation at the international land port, and reached a clear cooperation intention. During this period, Huaihua Jiruchun Agricultural Machinery Company successfully signed an agreement with Zhejiang Zhong’er Machinery Company for the export of Jiruchun’s Bafangshun micro-tillers, achieving breakthroughs in both investment promotion matchmaking and order expansion. “This matchmaking facilitated our cooperation in agricultural machinery export and pointed the way for our company to explore emerging markets,” said Li Dianqin, head of Jiruchun. 

In Yiwu, the task force visited the Yiwu International Trade City and multiple cross-border e-commerce enterprises and associations. It held meetings with CCPIT Yiwu and Yiwu China Commodities City Big Data Co., Ltd. The two parties reached consensus on leveraging Yiwu’s international trade platform for export trade, connecting with customer acquisition channels, and utilizing overseas resources. Yiwu expressed its willingness to actively participate in Huaihua’s foreign trade promotion activities and help Huaihua enterprises deepen their presence in international markets. 

In Hangzhou, the task force focused on engaging with overseas procurement entities. It visited enterprises such as the China Procurement Office of X5 Retail Group, a Russian retailer. It also supported Mayang Blue Phoenix Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. in reaching preliminary intentions with X5 Retail Group for exporting citrus and other agricultural products to Russia, further broadening the path for Huaihua agricultural products to reach overseas markets. 

Moving forward, CCPIT Huaihua will continue to follow up on the achievements made in investment promotion matchmaking, focus on key industries such as bag & suitcase and agricultural machinery, provide targeted services to help relevant enterprises engage with trade entities in Zhejiang, strengthen the application of investment promotion results, continuously expand export channels for enterprises, and make every effort to stabilize foreign trade, secure orders, and promote development, thereby empowering and enhancing the efficiency of Huaihua’s high-standard opening up and high-quality development.
