Mayang Industrial Development Zone has a planned area of 1.36 square kilometers and is located in the central part of the three prefecture-level cities of Tongren, Jishou, and Huaihua. National highways, expressways, railways, and high-speed railways pass through the zone. It is adjacent to Zhijiang airport and Tongren (Fenghuang) airport. The zone currently houses 70 enterprises, including 45 enterprises above the designated size, 15 high-tech enterprises, and 16 foreign trade enterprises. It has 268,000 square meters of standardized buildings and has basically developed a “one leading, one specialty” industrial layout, with electronic information as the leading industry and bio-based new materials as a specialty industry.
