Jingzhou Industrial Development Zone has a total planned area of 306.11 hectares, of which 160 hectares have been developed. The development zone is home to 138 enterprises, including 53 industrial enterprises above the designated size, 33 high-tech enterprises, and 12 strategic emerging industrial enterprises. It has fostered 12 provincial “little giant” enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, 11 national development platforms, and eight provincial development platforms. The Poria cocos industrial cluster in Jingzhou was rated as the characteristic industrial cluster of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Hunan Province. At present, the development zone is making all-out efforts to scale the Poria cocos industrial cluster and moso bamboo industrial clusters to RMB10 billion.
