Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone covers a total area of 33.42 square kilometers. It strives to build an industrial system in which the processing and manufacturing industry plays the principal role and the modern logistics industry and commercial services industry play the supplementary role. At present, Huaihua International Land Port has completed the construction of the customs supervision area, which is capable of handling international freight documents, goods inspection, loading, unloading, storage and distribution. By 2025, the development zone will strive to handle more than 1,200 trains, increase the cargo throughput to over 12 million metric tons, and reach a total output value of over RMB100 billion, so as to serve the nation, integrate into ASEAN, and connect with the world.
