Zhijiang green-shelled eggs are laid by local black-boned chickens. Through pure breeding, the eggs have been developed to possess high nutritional value, with significant market potential. The production of green-shelled eggs has gradually formed a distinctive industry over the years. The farming of black-boned chickens is mainly concentrated in more than ten townships, including Dahongshan, Yanjiao, Xindianping, Wulangxi, Tuqiao, Luojiu, Yanggongmiao, Muyexi, and Zhijiang. There are eight farms raising over 1,000 black-boned chickens, located in the townships of Dahongshan, Zhijiang, Yanjiao, Tuqiao, Wulangxi, and Xindianping.
