Yangjia black steamed rice is a health-care delicacy of the Dong people in southwest Hunan, among which the most delicious one is made by the family surnamed Yang in Gaoyi Ancient Village. Yangjia black steamed rice is made from rice with the juice of the leaves of vaccinium bracteatum. After rice soaked in the dark blue juice is steamed, the white rice will turn black with a refreshing taste.
