White River Valley Scenic Spot, a national AAA scenic spot, is located in Youshui section of Wuqiangxi National Wetland Park. It combines natural and cultural wonders of 28 degrees north latitude, being the most beautiful aquatic and rural tourist resort in China. Youshui, also known as White River, is the mother river of Tujia people. Its water is as clear as "mountain spring water" and as green as satin. As the tourists travel on the river where green hills rises high upon its banks, they feel like sailing in the paintings. It is the most beautiful scenery described by the literary master Shen Congwen.

In 2014, White River Valley tourist Resort was completed. It developed boathouses, tree houses, stone houses, tents, weddings, Haozi Valley and other folk experiences, as well as new business like aquatic sightseeing tour, becoming a unique "fog ion" health resort inside and outside the province. White River Valley was rated as a national 3A tourist scenic spot in 2016.

 Youshui, the mother river of Tujia and the birthplace of "wine", is the river of longevity. Historically, it is the dividing point between the chieftain dynasty and the Han dynasty, and the golden waterway of the southern aquatic Silk Road. It is well known for its popular folk songs.

Entering Haozi(work songs)  Valley, you can experience the labor culture of Panmu Haozi, ramming Haozi and water-pumping Haozi. Climbing the Scarlet tablets, you will understand the origin of the two Xizhou wars and chieftain autonomy. Passing the river through Lala du(man-pulling boat), you can experience a comfortable water life. Going through Manhan Cave, you can experience the 800 years of chieftain history. To visit Tusi Gate Grand Canyon, you can go to Water Kashite.

 You can take part in offering sacrifices to the river gods in an ancient boat, row and tow a boat in the sound of Youshui work songs. You can listen to the Youshui boat songs with the fishing drum beating rhythmically and the widow’s telling of the tears of her husband—the boat tracker. You can enjoy the fisherman casting a net in the waves… To be a boatman for half a day, you will experience the vicissitudes, the joy and sorrow of "the thousands of years of Youshui boat-trackers’ life".

Here, You can take a festive flower boat to participate in match-making game through leaf-blowing, follow the five-tone-shift songs to express your affection, send ladies ashore in the sound of crying, carry sedan chairs in the sound of gongs and drums, offer sacrifices to gods, pay respect to your lover, enter the bridal chamber, offer a red packet and drink a wedding wine, and get a marriage certificate of the Tusi (chieftain) dynasty. You can play the role of the newlyweds to experience the shyness and passion of the song "I married my sister to the other side of the river".

Here you can get on the Wunuo ship, put on the Nuo mask and begin to travel through the mysterious world, raise your hands to pray for heaven and earth, stamp your feet to pray for the earth, invite God, make sacrifice to God, send God, and dance wild carnival. In the communication between heart and spirit, you will find the spirit is clear, and man and nature united, which bring infinite blessings to yourself and your relatives and friends.

This is the most beautiful river gorge in western Hunan and the most valuable aquatic interaction project with cultural experience in China.
