Huaihua Grand Canyon is a national 4A level scenic spot. It has earned a series of titles, including “national agricultural science and technology park”, “national rocky desertification Park”, “Huaihua top ten most beautiful hiking routes”, “civilized scenic spot”, and “tourism poverty alleviation demonstration base”.

Huaihua Grand Canyon is located in the east of the suburbs of Huaihua City, approximately 20 kilometers away from the urban area. The average altitude is 850 meters and the maximum altitude is 1200 meters. Huaihua Grand Canyon is renowned for its splendid sceneries, such as “four gates and eight ponds”, “three pedals and two arches”, “three tides a day”, “disorderly baskets”, and “seventy-two inter-connected karst caves”.
