On December 19, the Hunan-Uzbekistan Bukhara State Economic and Trade Cooperation and Matchmaking Conference was held in Changsha. A delegation of governments and enterprises from the Bukhara State of Uzbekistan conducted in-depth exchanges with representatives of more than 40 enterprises in Hunan Province. They discussed on such industries as textiles, agriculture, stone and building materials, ceramic tiles and wallpapers, new energy, electronic equipment, and tourism.
The Hunan Remanufactured Engineering Machinery Export Industry Alliance promoted the Hunan old engineering machinery industry at the meeting. Zoomlion Heavy Industry, Longping High-Tech, Hunan Tea Group, and three enterprises from Bukhara State of Uzbekistan made promotions. The Anhua Tea Group presented a live tasting of Hunan dark tea.
"We expect Uzbekistan and Hunan to develop fruitful cooperation in such fields as textile, agriculture, and industry. Hunan enterprises are also welcome to visit Uzbekistan and Bukhara," said Asadov Rizo, vice governor of Bukhara State of Uzbekistan. He introduced the economic development and pillar industries of the state, adding that China and Uzbekistan have witnessed frequent high-level exchanges and interactions, smooth pragmatic collaboration in various fields, and flourishing local cooperation. Both sides have great potential for partnership in many fields such as communication technology, agriculture, new energy storage, and electrical equipment, he added.
Yang Aiyun, president of the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, said, "We will strive to build a comprehensive service network for enterprises, give full play to the economic complementary advantages of the two sides, and strengthen cooperation in economy and trade, people-to-people exchange, energy, agriculture, and other areas, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results." She noted that the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council will build a cooperation platform for friendly exchanges between Hunan and Uzbekistan, serve the pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Uzbek enterprises, and help enhance economic and trade cooperation and development between the two sides.
Since 2023, the mutual visits between Hunan and Uzbekistan have been in full swing, and the cooperation in economic and trade exchanges, infrastructure, and energy resources has been significantly strengthened. Between 2021 and 2023, the total import and export volume of Hunan Province to Uzbekistan reached a three-year compound growth rate of 45.01%, showing a strong momentum in opening-up development and cooperation.
