The Xiangxi Biancheng Airport will officially put into operation on August 18. The Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefectural Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television announced on August 13 that Xiangxi Prefecture will launch the "Visiting Xiangxi by Air" tourism promotion activity to celebrate the opening of the airport. Passengers arriving at Xiangxi Biancheng Airport will be offered various discounts, including free lifetime entry to scenic areas, half-price tickets, and a 30% off list price for accommodations.

The preferential policies will be available in 39 tourist attractions such as Aizhai-Shibadong-Dehang Grand Canyon, Fenghuang Ancient Town, Furong Town, and Liye Ancient Town, as well as 64 quality homestays like Aizhai Tianqiao Xianju B&B, Zhushan Xiangju B&B, and Tusi Palace-Babutang.

Passengers who arrive at Xiangxi Biancheng Airport on August 18, 2023, together with the 101st, 1001st, 10001st, and 100001st passengers arriving at the airport, can enjoy free lifetime entry to the scenic areas upon presenting their ID cards.

From August 18 to October 18, 2023, passengers arriving at Xiangxi Biancheng Airport can be offered a half-price admission to all graded tourist attractions in the prefecture by presenting their boarding passes.

From August 18, 2023, to April 30, 2024, passengers arriving at Xiangxi Biancheng Airport can enjoy a 30% off list price for stays at homestays (except for weekend and public holidays) by presenting their boarding passes and ID cards.
