The Shuiyuan Mountain in Qiancheng Town of Hongjiang County-level City is a bright spectacle as blooming crape myrtle flowers reach their peak. More than 40 hectares of sloping flower fields burst into a riot of colours. The vivid clusters embellish the branches, interspersed with bamboo groves, cosmos bipinnatus and hydrangeas. Tier upon tier of blooming waves spread along the mountain contours. The scenic spot received over 1,000 visitors on August 5 and has emerged as a popular summer getaway in Huaihua during the vacation season.
