On the morning of October 31, the Hunan (Huaihua) – ASEAN Industrial Chain and Supply Chain Cooperation Matchmaking Conference was held. Xu Zhongjian, Secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, and Yang Aiyun, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, delivered speeches. Khaing Su Linn, Consul General of Myanmar in Nanning, delivered a speech. He Zunqing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Political and Legal Committee, presided over the conference.
In his speech, Xu Zhongjian stated that holding the Hunan (Huaihua)-ASEAN Industrial Chain and Supply Chain Cooperation Matchmaking Conference is a significant initiative by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Provincial Government of Hunan to align with General Secretary Xi Jinping's vision of "high-quality development, high-efficiency growth, and innovative development" for Hunan, and to continuously strive to build a highland for reform and opening up in inland China. It is also a concrete action by Huaihua to integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, and to deepen cooperation with ASEAN. Huaihua possesses multiple strategic advantages, surging development momentum, distinctive industrial advantages, convenient logistics channels, a strong work ethic, and a first-class business environment. He sincerely invited entrepreneurs and friends from all walks of life at home and abroad to become "partners" in Huaihua's “new entrepreneurial endeavor”, creating a new situation of win-win cooperation. Huaihua will do its utmost to provide dedicated service, ensuring everyone can invest with confidence, develop smoothly, and live comfortably.
(Speech by Xu Zhongjian, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee) In her speech, Yang Aiyun stated that the friendly exchanges between Hunan and ASEAN have a long history, and the cooperation between the two regions has yielded remarkable results. The purpose of this conference, held in Huaihua, is to gather momentum for industrial integration between Hunan and ASEAN, fully leverage Huaihua's role as a bridgehead connecting with ASEAN, further promote cooperation in industrial and supply chains between ASEAN and Hunan, and ensure that more cooperative achievements take root and flourish on both sides. We sincerely hope that Hunan and ASEAN will jointly build a comprehensive and efficient transportation network, explore emerging areas of cooperation, and promote deep industrial integration. The Hunan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will actively promote the exploration and construction of cross-border industrial cooperation zones oriented towards ASEAN in key cities such as Huaihua, fostering deep industrial integration and jointly building a more resilient and robust regional industrial and supply chain system.

In her address, Khaing Su Linn stated that Huaihua is an important logistics hub for ASEAN products entering the central Chinese market, and there is enormous potential for cooperation between ASEAN and Huaihua in enhancing logistics and supply chain development. The Huaihua International Land Port is part of the cross-border express transport channel connecting Huaihua with Kyaukpyu Port and Yangon Port in Myanmar, providing opportunities for increased trade between Myanmar and Huaihua. This matchmaking event will inject new momentum into regional economic and trade cooperation and the integration of industrial and supply chains, build a platform for enterprise communication and collaboration, and jointly create a bright future of mutual benefit and win-win results. We welcome more Chinese investors to explore business opportunities in Myanmar, enjoy preferential investment policies, and seek cooperation in areas such as agricultural product processing and green energy.
