On the morning of August 30, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, made a special inspection tour of the construction of the urban quality upgrading and key cultural tourism projects. He emphasized that it is of necessity to thoroughly study and put into practice the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the Central Urban Work Conference, carefully carry out the plans and requirements by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province on hosting the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, letting the public feel and access the benefits from hosting the conference.
At the Municipal People’s Sports Park and Chengnan Sports Park, Xu Zhongjian gained a detailed understanding of the progress of the project construction. He pointed out that it is of necessity to make good use of various cultural and sports resources, scientifically layout and build venues for outdoor sports, fitness and leisure, so as to better meet the needs of citizens and tourists.
At the smart bus station, Xu Zhongjian observed the operation of the facility, talked with citizens waiting for the bus, and listened to their suggestions on urban development. He stated that since Huaihua is hosting the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, every resident is a host. He hopes that everyone will strengthen their sense of ownership, working together to maintain the urban image of “Huaihua is a Blessed Land letting you feel at home”, making the city warmer and more welcoming.
In Yushuwan and Tianwendao, Xu Zhongjian carefully inspected the progress of the finishing work of the project construction and talked with the heads of the merchants stationed in the city. He hoped that everyone would further enrich the cultural tourism industry and form a new multi-level and multi-dimensional consumption scene. He pointed out that on the premise of ensuring quality and safety, efforts should be made to speed up the finishing work of the project construction, improve relevant supporting facilities and enhance service quality. It is necessary to closely focus on market consumption demand, promote the integration of tourism with technology, culture, art, and other fields, and seize new opportunities in cultural and tourism development.
In Hetang Village, Chengnan Street, Xu Zhongjian inspected the environmental improvements and the operation of the distinctively cultural and creative coffee offerings. He emphasized the need to shift from “selling coffee” to “selling an experience and culture” by innovating concepts and scenarios, so that consumers can derive greater emotional value.
Municipal leaders Li Weilin, Hu Chen, Hu Heping and Xiang Rulian participated in the inspection tour.
