On September 17, as an important side event of the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, a melody performance of village songs titled the “Melodies of Wuxi, Songs Resonating Through Millennia” was held at Hemingzhou, Hecheng District, Huaihua City. Thirteen original songs were presented, with approximately 400 cast and crew members taking the stage to perform. With traveling along with village songs as the narrative theme, the entire performance was divided into three chapters: Songs of Huaihua, Songs Echoing Over Hunan and Songs Spreading Far and Wide.

It is learned that since the launch of the Huaihua Village Song Festival in March this year, a total of 56 competitions has been held, covering 13 counties, county-level cities and districts. It has attracted participants from all walks of life, including barbers, mixer truck drivers, construction workers and couriers, with over 100,000 people participating on-site and online attention exceeding 20 million person-times, making it a phenomenal rural cultural feast and village song gala.
