On March 10, Boyang Town in Tongdao County hosted the second Rapeseed Flower Festival under the theme "Embracing Spring with You in a Sea of Rapeseed Flowers" in Chentuan Village. The event attracted numerous residents from surrounding towns in Hunan and Guizhou provinces.

The festival featured Dong ethnic intangible cultural heritage performances, traditional Lusheng music, and spring outings. A dedicated zone was set up for showcasing local agricultural products, promoting Boyang’s specialties such as "Youjiaotou" (chewy snacks) and "Regenerated Rice." The event offered a series of activities centered around sightseeing, exploration, dining, and entertainment. Visitors from nearby towns and beyond flocked to admire the breathtaking expanse of rapeseed flowers, explore unique social media-worthy spots, savor the Dong-style "Helong Banquet," and immerse themselves in the vibrant folk culture of singing and dancing. The town’s unique charm, blending Dong culture with the fragrance of flowers, has become a "golden engine" for enriching the local economy and strengthening the community.

In recent years, Boyang Town has focused on its goal of becoming an "agricultural powerhouse," comprehensively advancing rural revitalization strategies. By developing modern agriculture tailored to local conditions, the town has deepened its "rice-rapeseed rotation" model, transforming idle winter fields into "fields of prosperity." Initiatives such as "Rice+" and "Rapeseed+" have boosted the local economy, with rapeseed cultivation now covering over 10,000 acres. The town’s industrial development is thriving, and its living environment has been significantly improved, turning the "green water and green hills" of the Dong region into "gold and silver mountains."
