On April 17, an entrepreneur delegation from the Republic of South Sudan visited the Huaihua International Land Port, seeking opportunities for economic and trade cooperation to achieve win-win results.

The delegation visited the Exhibition Hall of the Planning of the Huaihua International Land Port, Huaihua Suitcase and Bag Industrial Park, a suitcase and bag factory, a gardening company, and a food factory, specifically learning about industrial development and freight logistics conditions.
The entrepreneurs had a meeting with leaders in the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council Huaihua Branch, the Huaihua Bureau of Commerce, and the Huaihua International Land Port Economic Development Zone. They inquired about industrial support policies, business environment, exchanges and training, and other issues, and got answers from related officials.
The South Sudanese guests appreciated Huaihua authorities sharing their experience, and expressed admiration for the achievements of the Huaihua International Land Port. Through this investigation tour, they gained a more comprehensive understanding of Huaihua's opening-up policies and investment opportunities. They look forward to advancing exchanges and economic cooperation and trade between Huaihua and South Sudan, and continuing to enhance the bilateral friendship.

In recent years, the improved policy and business environment in Huaihua City has appealed to an increasing number of foreign entrepreneurs to invest or start up businesses. Huaihua's foreign trade has surged, and its open economy has achieved fruitful results. In 2023, foreign investment reached 61.18 million USD, marking a 422% growth year on year, and 28 foreign-invested enterprises have been set up. Huaihua has made breakthroughs in foreign investment at the county-level.
