On May 6, the inauguration ceremony of Huaihua Precision Medicine Center was held at the Huaihua Maternal and Child Health Hospital. Vice Mayor Xiang Xiuliang attended the ceremony.

Huaihua Precision Medicine Center is a construction project of the integrated health system of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County. Based on the Huaihua Maternal and Child Health Hospital, it expands and increases the capacity of the existing prenatal diagnosis laboratory and establishes three laboratories for genetic disease genetic testing, tumor genetic testing and pathogenic microorganism genetic testing, so as to create a platform for birth defect, cancer and infectious disease prevention and control in Huaihua, aiming to achieve early screening, early detection and early intervention of major diseases and to form a whole chain of medical services.

It is learned that the center will comprehensively improve the ability of precise prevention and treatment of major diseases such as genetic genetics, infections, chronic diseases and tumors so as to meet local people’s growing demand for healthcare services.
