At 7:00 a.m., the 2023 Hongjiang Half Marathon kicked off with more than 8,000 runners from all over the country.

After a fierce competition, Hong Yue from Guiyang City of Guizhou Province won the men’s championship in 1 hour, 6 minutes and 29 seconds, and Xiong Juan from Wuhan City of Hubei Province won the women’s championship in 1 hour, 16 minutes and 29 seconds, breaking the event record. The top three female contestants all broke the event record.

In recent years, Hongjiang has organized a series of sport events to improve its culture tourism profile, including the Hongjiang Half Marathon, the Anjiang Agricultural School Trail Walk and Xuefeng Mountain Climb.

Supporting Huaihua’s development plan for tourism, Hongjiang will continue to promote the “sports + tourism” model to speed up the development of culture tourism and let more people experience the unique charm of Hongjiang.
