On the morning of October 10, a press conference for the 5th Huaihua Tourism Development Conference was held. It was announced that the 5th Huaihua Tourism Development Conference is scheduled to be held from October 25 to 26 in Chenxi County, with the theme of “Building a ‘New Cultural and Tourism Highlight’ of the Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Area and Supporting the Construction of the Zhangjiajie-Huaihua-Guilin World-Class Tourism Corridor”. The conference aims to continue to enhance the city’s image as “Huaihua Being a Blessed Land, Letting You Feel at Home” and promote the coordinated regional development of cultural and tourism industries across the city. Vice Mayor Xiang Rulian released the overall information about the conference.

Xiang Rulian introduced the background, arrangements, and features of the conference. She expressed the hope that through hosting the conference, the diversity of Chenxi’s cultural and tourism resources will be showcased, and the overall quality and upgrading of the city’s cultural and tourism sector will be driven forward by promoting progress in one area to spur progress across the whole. She also stated that preparations for all tasks will be carried out in accordance with first-class conference organization standards, so as to deliver a satisfactory result in which hosting the conference revitalizes the city, boosts industries, and benefits the people.

At the conference, the slogan “Blessed Land—Huaihua, Letting You Feel at Home; Century-Old Ordnance Legacy, Passionate Chenxi” was announced, along with the conference mascots “Chen Xixi” and the content of the “3+5” three-dimensional activity matrix. This year’s conference will organize three main activities: a cultural and tourism project observation tour, the conference opening ceremony, and a cultural and tourism industry development promotion meeting, to experience the new achievements in cultural and tourism development. It will also launch five supporting activities: the opening ceremony of the “1938 Xiaoping Ordnance Camp”, the Chenxi County Men’s Basketball Invitational Tournament, the “Dayou Lecture Hall · Virtue and Goodness Culture” series of cultural lectures, the 8th Huaihua Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Agricultural Specialty Products Consumption Event, and the Xikou Village Country Music Season.

Relevant responsible officials from the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Chenxi County introduced the preparations for the conference and answered questions from journalists.
