Wei presides over the forum and delivers a speech

On the morning of September 8, the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee held a forum for people outside the Communist Party to solicit opinions and suggestions on the report to the 7th Huaihua Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China from leading members of the municipal committees of all democratic parties, the Huaihua Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, and representatives of non-party personages. Wei Zhaohui, secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, presided over the forum and delivered a speech.
At the forum, Li Weilin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee, briefed participants on the drafting process and main content of the report to the 7th Huaihua Municipal Congress of the CPC.Many participants offered suggestions on developing the 2.0 version of the “5+10” modern industrial system, upgrading the capacity of the inland port hub, deepening opening-up and cooperation, advancing the integrated development of Hecheng and Zhongfang, improving tourism quality, attracting and cultivating talents, and building a law-based Huaihua. They were Wang Yong, chairperson of the Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League; Yao Wencheng, chairperson of the Municipal Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association; Li Ruqing, chairperson of the Municipal Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy; Zhou Bibo, chairperson of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party; Luo Hai, chairperson of the Municipal Committee of the Jiu San Society; Wu Qingchun, chairperson of the Huaihua Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce; as well as non-Party personage representatives Jiang Xiaoxiang and Lou Hongfu.
After listening to the remarks, Wei stated that the relevant opinions and suggestions put forward by everyone would be carefully sorted out, thoroughly studied and actively adopted. She pointed out that the next five years will be a sprint period for Huaihua to forge ahead in all respects and pursue catch-up development, and a decisive stage for building a regional central city at the border of five provinces to achieve focused breakthroughs and transformation.
She expressed the hope that all democratic parties, the Federation of Industry and Commerce, and non-party personages will always think, stand and work together with the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, draw the greatest "concentric circle" of unity and hard work, and strive to turn the new blueprint for building the regional central city at the border of five provinces into a beautiful reality.
According to her, they should keep focusing on the overarching goal of development, fully leverage their strength of gathering high-caliber talents, identify entry points, priorities and areas for contribution in line with the development blueprint mapped out by the Municipal Congress of the CPC, and offer more insightful views and practical proposals. They should give full play to their role as a bridge and link, act as intermediaries for investment promotion, and attract more enterprises, projects and talents to settle in Huaihua. They should capitalize on their extensive outreach, speak more encouraging and positive words to uphold integrity, foster a sound atmosphere and build broad consensus for the successful convening of the Municipal Congress of the CPC.
They must continuously strengthen self-development, and strive to enhance their capacity for political judgment, participation in the deliberation and administration of state affairs, organizational leadership, cooperation in governance, and handling internal affairs.
The CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee will, as always, care for and support the work of all democratic parties, the Federation of Industry and Commerce and non-party personages, create better conditions and provide strong guarantees for them to perform their duties and exert their roles, and continuously consolidate and develop the patriotic united front in the new era.
