Driving new impetus for huaihua’s high-quality development
On September 2, Gao Jingsheng, deputy secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor, visited the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Hunan Provincial Department of Transport, the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics and the Hunan Branch of the National Oil and Gas Pipeline Network Group Co., Ltd. for work-coordination. He held in-depth discussions on advancing major projects and delivering key tasks, aiming to secure greater support, and driving fresh impetus into the high-quality development of Huaihua. Yu Jianyong, vice-mayor, and Lin Hua, secretary-general of Huaihua Municipal People’s Government, took part in the events respectively.
During his meeting with Li Chunqiu, director general of the Office of the Provincial Financial and Economic Commission, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director General of the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Gao expressed his gratitude for the strong support extended by the commission. He noted that Huaihua is accelerating the development of its international land port, the building of a modern industrial system and the integrated development of the Hecheng Zhongfang area as well. He hoped that the commission would lend its support in areas including railway development planning, wind power project development and pilot programmes for direct green power connection. In the meanwhile, Li stated that the commission would earnestly implement the arrangements and requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Government, offer support and assistance to Huaihua in securing major policies and arranging major projects, and fuel the high quality economic and social development.
During his meeting with Shu Xinggang, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director general of the Hunan Provincial Department of Transport, Gao expressed gratitude for the department’s long term care and support. He pointed out that Huaihua is currently targeting the goal of “striving to build a regional central city at the border of five provinces” and planning to advance a number of major transport projects. He hoped that the Hunan Provincial Department of Transport would offer support in the planning and layout of key transport projects as well as the construction of comprehensive freight hubs. Shu stated that the department would provide Huaihua with greater support in project planning and factor guarantee, so as to boost the high-quality development of transport undertakings.
During his meeting with Deng Bin, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director general of the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, Gao then expressed his gratitude for the long term meticulous guidance and strong support the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics had extended to Huaihua. He hoped the bureau would provide more professional guidance on law based and scientific statistics to improve the quality and standard of statistical services. Instead, Deng stated that the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics would continuously scale up support in business guidance and the development of statistical infrastructure, so as to bolster the sound and sustainable economic and social development of Huaihua.
During his meeting with Wang Xianzhong, party secretary and representative of the Hunan Branch of National Oil and Gas Pipeline Network Group Co., Ltd., Gao noted that Huaihua is currently in a critical period of leapfrog development with steadily rising gas demand. He hoped that the company would offer support in the layout of natural gas pipeline networks and gas source guarantee in the city. Wang stated that the company will actively advance the construction of natural gas pipeline networks and gas source guarantee work in Huaihua, and help the city build a natural gas pipeline system featuring connected trunk pipelines and linked branch pipelines, thereby building up momentum for a solid start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
