On the morning of September 28, the newly elected Standing Committee of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee visited the Memorial Hall of the Red Army’s Changing Long March Route in Tongdao to receive revolutionary education, recall revolutionary stories, reaffirm their Party admission oaths, and draw inspiration for progress. Wei Zhaohui, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, made a speech during the visit. She noted the need to vigorously promote the lofty spirit of revolutionary forebears, inherit the red gene, carry forward the red lineage, and unite and lead all municipal Party members and officials to work together in forging a new Long March path. Also in attendance to the visit were Gao Jingsheng, He Zunqing, Hu Chen, Huang Jianxin, Zhou Zongyan, Zuo Hong, Zhou Yangpin, Wu Hanming, Zhang Gong, and Zhou Zhou, all being key figures of the leading group of Huaihua municipality.

During the visit, Wei pointed out that this year is the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Red Army and the beginning of the “15th Five Year Plan”, and it is also a critical period for Huaihua to accumulate momentum and prepare for breakthroughs on social and economic development, so the new members of the Standing Committee of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee came to the Memorial Hall of the Red Army’s Changing Long March Route in Tongdao to receive revolutionary traditional education in order to draw wisdom and strength from the glorious history of the Party, further strengthen their ideals and beliefs, temper their Party spirit, and embark on a new journey of striving for excellence with a fresh face and high morale. She added that we must adhere to seeking truth from facts and making scientific decisions. When thinking, making decisions, and handling things, we must follow objective laws, conduct in-depth investigations and research, be good at assessing the situation, abandon dogmatism, comprehensively analyze the situation, scientifically adjust strategic directions, find breakthroughs in complex situations, and correct the direction of progress when the opportunity arises. In addition, we must persist in breaking through fixed patterns, innovating and seeking change. Faced with new situations and tasks, we must dare to break through our thinking patterns, break path dependence, use new ideas and methods to solve development problems, and constantly open up new work situations. What’s more, we must adhere to democracy and unity, gather wisdom and strength, pay attention to collective research and democratic decision-making, fully listen to opinions from all aspects, pool wisdom and efforts, unite and forge ahead, and promote the implementation and effectiveness of various goals and tasks. Also, we must adhere to the spirit of struggle, take the initiative, and face the difficulties and challenges in development.
