On August 20, Wei Zhaohui, secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, held a forum with Wang Tian, chairman of Better Life Group and his entourage. Also present were Chen Zhiqiang, Party Secretary of Better Life Group; Zhou Peng, Deputy Party Secretary of Better Life Group and chairman of Better Life Properties Co., Ltd.; and municipal leaders Hu Heping and He Weiying.

Wei Zhaohui extended a welcome to Wang Tian and his delegation. She noted that Better Life Group has maintained deep‑rooted ties with Huaihua over the past 20 years since its settlement in the city. She expressed hopes that the Group would accelerate the construction of the Better Life Central Plaza project. Relevant municipal government departments and Hecheng District should offer strong support and close collaboration, make concerted and sustained efforts to boost construction progress, so as to build a landmark project anchoring the regional consumption hub. She looked forward to further expanding cooperation areas and deepening mutually beneficial win‑win outcomes for both sides.

Wang Tian thanked the Municipal Party Committee and municipal government for their long‑term support. He observed that Huaihua boasts vibrant business activity and generates notable spill‑over effects driving economic connectivity in surrounding regions. The Group will go all‑out to develop the Central Plaza into the largest urban commercial complex in Western Hunan, continuously upgrade consumption experiences and market‑leading capacity. The Group will further consolidate its presence in Huaihua and take an active part in local economic and social development.

With a total investment of approximately 2 billion yuan, the Central Plaza is scheduled for its opening in September this year.
