To raise public awareness and identification capabilities against illegal financial activities, the 2026 Huaihua Campaign Month and Centralized Publicity Day for Preventing Illegal Financial Activities, themed "Safeguard Your Money, Protect Your Family", kicked off at Yingfeng Park on the morning of June 14.
Sponsored by the General Office of Huaihua Municipal People’s Government, the event was co-organized by the General Office of Hecheng District People’s Government, Huaihua Intermediate People’s Court, Huaihua Municipal People’s Procuratorate, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film, Television, Sports, the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, Huaihua Branch of the People’s Bank of China, Huaihua Financial Regulatory Branch, Huaihua Insurance Industry Association, and Founder Securities Huaihua Investor Education Base to deliver relevant knowledge to local residents.
Breaking away from conventional publicity and education models, the event adopted an integrated approach combining cultural edification, interactive popular science and scenario experience with elaborately designed interactive zones. At the cultural and creative painting area, residents took part in collaborative painting on a 10-meter scroll, herbal rubbing hand-painted bag making and DIY canvas bag drawing to boost awareness of illegal financial risk prevention through artistic creation. The fun game area featured educational interactive programs including quizzes on illegal financial prevention knowledge, a code-matching game for risk prevention tips, and an escape room experience. The scenario experience zone offered open interactions such as allegro tongue twisters and impromptu skits, enabling visitors to learn risk identification skills through immersive experiences. The consultation and publicity zone hosted prize-winning quizzes, distributed promotional brochures and collected and registered clues of potential financial risks.
“I used to think illegal fund-raising had nothing to do with me, but after hearing about neighbors getting scammed, I realized how vital risk prevention awareness is,” said a resident living near Yingfeng Park. She noted the innovative event format and brought her grandson along to learn while having fun. Many residents also praised this entertaining and educational publicity method.
In the next phase, Huaihua will further advance publicity and education on illegal financial risk prevention. Taking the Centralized Publicity Day as an opportunity, the city will better pool resources from all sectors, innovate publicity channels, expand outreach coverage, effectively protect residents’ financial assets, and build a solid barrier to fend off illegal financial activities.
