On the afternoon of June 15, Wei Zhaohui, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, chaired a symposium with the new leadership team of Huaihua municipal committees of non-communist parties. She emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on advancing the Party's united front work in the new era, as well as his significant speeches, instructions, and directives on Hunan's work. She called for upholding the original spirit of cooperation among all parties, enhancing the capacity for performance, and rallying efforts to promote high-quality development of Huaihua. Peng Xindan, member of the Standing Committee of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, head of the Organization Department of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, and head of the United Front Work Department of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over the symposium. Li Weilin, member of the Standing Committee of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting.
At the symposium, Wang Yong, chairman of Huaihua Municipal Committee of China Democratic League, Yao Wencheng, chairman of Huaihua Municipal Committee of China Democratic Construction Association, Li Ruqing, chairman of Huaihua Municipal Committee of China Democratic Progressive Party, Zhou Bibo, chairman of Huaihua Municipal Committee of China Agricultural and Labor Party, and Luo Hai, chairman of Huaihua Municipal Committee of China Jiusan Society, delivered a speech successively, expressing their intentions, by taking this election as a new starting point, to fulfill their duties conscientiously and serve the overall situation of the city actively, so as to contribute to the high-quality development of Huaihua.
After listening to their speeches, Wei pointed out that for a long time, the municipal committees of non-communist parties have strictly followed the requirements of the provincial government to realize the grand blueprint of “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” of the province and fully taken their unique advantages of talents, intelligence and wide connections to participate in politics, democratic supervision, and political consultation, making vital contributions to make Huaihua a central city in the border region of five provinces. She hoped that the new leadership teams of the municipal committees of all non-communist parties would inherit their fine traditions, continue their original intention of cooperation, and take a higher position, more practical actions, and stronger responsibilities to promote the multi-party cooperation in our city to a new level.
Wei Zhaohui stressed that all the non-communist parties should stick to political loyalty, show a new realm in the spirit of cohesion, always adhere to the leadership of the CPC, always want to work together, stand together, and work together with the Huaihua Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China by constantly consolidating and developing the patriotic united front in the new era, so as to ensure that the cause of multi-party cooperation always moves in the right political direction. What’s more, all the non-communist parties should serve the overall interests of the country, demonstrate new responsibilities in fulfilling duties and responsibilities, actively participate in politics, gather strength for economic development, and implement democratic supervision, so as to ensure that they can perform their duties in line with the work of the municipal party committee. In addition, they should fulfill their original aspiration and mission, demonstrate their new achievements in serving the people, fully leverage their role as a bridge connecting with and being close to the people, conscientiously handle practical matters related to people's livelihood, actively carry out social services, and reflect their performance in the sense of gain of the people. Last but not least, they should strengthen their own construction, establish a new image in honing their skills, strengthen the construction of the leadership team and cadre echelon, hone their solid work style, and guide their members to establish a good image of pragmatism, progress, integrity, and honesty.
Wei stated that the Huaihua Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China will continue to attach importance to and support the work of all the non-communist parties, continuously improve the multi-party cooperation mechanism, and create better conditions and provide strong guarantees for all the non-communist parties to fulfill their duties and play their roles.
