On April 10, the “Smart Huaihua with talents to gather at the International Land Port 2026: Cross-regional talent recruitment boosts employment” was held at Tongren University, aiming to build a bridge for talent supply and demand between universities, local governments and enterprises, and attract young talents to work and settle in Huaihua.
The event adopted an online + offline dual recruitment model. Offline, 5 high-quality enterprises from Huaihua were selected to offer 16 curated positions, enabling students to directly understand corporate talent needs. Online, relying on an AI recruitment platform, it gathered more than 200 quality positions from 69 enterprises, equipped with functions such as AI resume optimization, intelligent job matching and online career assessment for efficient job hunting.
On the same day, a campus policy promotion meeting and an on-site job fair were held simultaneously. The promotion highlighted two major recruitment programs of Huaihua International Land Port — the Port Trainee Program and the Land Port Partner Program, providing tailored career development paths for college graduates. The event also released talent introduction information, planning to recruit 98 talents of various types, including 55 for public institutions and 43 for enterprises, offering broad employment options for students.
Meanwhile, a ceremony was held to appoint campus ambassadors of Tongren University, establishing a long-term connection mechanism and further smoothing talent communication channels. “After being appointed as a campus ambassador, I will leverage my professional strengths to act as a communication bridge, actively promote the talent concept of Smart Huaihua with Talents to Gather at the International Land Port, speak for the city as a young representative, and attract more young talents to gather in Huaihua and contribute to its development,” said He Yujuan, a campus ambassador from the School of Music, Tongren University.
In addition to abundant position resources, Huaihua also introduced strong employment and entrepreneurship policies, launching a full-cycle talent service package including the Twelve Measures for Enterprise Labor Service Support in Huaihua, covering internship subsidies, employment allowances, skills training and entrepreneurship support. These tangible incentives support young talents to intern, work and start businesses in Huaihua. Furthermore, citywide “Human Resources and Social Security Stations”, talent apartments, children’s education, medical care and other supporting services fully address young talents’ worries, allowing them to work and start businesses with peace of mind.
At the same time, an on-site job fair and an immersive experience zone Treat You as a Family Member were opened at the square outside Bosi Building, precisely matching enterprises and students, letting young students experience Huaihua’s urban warmth and development vitality.
As a national comprehensive transportation hub and a key node city of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the western region, Huaihua connects the east with the west and the south with the north, serving as Hunan’s frontier for docking with ASEAN and opening up. Relying on Huaihua International Land Port, it has launched international freight trains to Laos and Vietnam, with a logistics network covering 69 countries and 216 ports worldwide. Industrial clusters such as port-side industries, cross-border trade and modern logistics are gathering rapidly. Currently, Huaihua is accelerating the construction of a “5+10” modern industrial system, focusing on advanced manufacturing, commercial logistics, biomedicine, new materials and other leading industries, with a solid industrial foundation and huge development potential, providing a broad stage for young talents to display their abilities and realize their values.
It is reported that the university tour covers 12 universities in total under the “4+8” framework: “4” refers to 4 local universities—Huaihua University, Hunan University of Medicine, Huaihua Vocational and Technical College and Huaihua Normal College; “8” refers to 8 universities in 8 cities including Changsha, Shaoyang, Jishou, Chongqing, Tongren, Guilin, Liuzhou and Wuhan, realizing precise and full-regional linkage of university-local talent connection.
This university tour is both a practical measure for Huaihua to seize the critical period of college graduates’ employment and a sincere gesture to attract talents. Going forward, Huaihua will continue to attract more young talents to work and develop in the city with favorable policies, quality positions and premium services, jointly drawing a new blueprint for urban development.
