On the afternoon of March 4, the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee convened the city’s Party Work Conference to coordinate and deploy work related to organization, publicity, united front work department, social work, politics and law, and the Party Committee Office. Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, attended and delivered a speech.
He emphasized that we must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and faithfully implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee. We should enhance the quality and efficiency of our work with a higher political stance and more concrete measures, so as to provide a solid political guarantee for continuously advancing the implementation of the "Five New Drivers and Four Modern Cities" strategy and striving to achieve a good start for the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
He Zunqing, deputy secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Politics and Law Committee, presided over the conference.
Xu emphasized that in organizational work, we must always put the Party's political construction in the first place, adhere to the principle that the organizational line serves the political line, select and appoint cadres based on their moral integrity, professional competence, and solid work performance, comprehensively strengthen the building of leading bodies and the cadre contingent, focus on strengthening primary-level work, consolidating foundations, securing fundamentals, and improving efficiency, and strive to build a new highland for talents in the border areas of five provinces.
In publicity, ideological and cultural work, we must strengthen cultural confidence, uphold integrity and promote innovation, unremittingly use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to forge cohesion and soul, consolidate and expand the mainstream ideological public opinion of unity and progress, promote and practice core socialist values, flourish cultural undertakings and cultural tourism industries, and build a strong defense line for ideological security.
In United Front work, we must uphold great unity and solidarity, strengthen ideological and political guidance, forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation in a tangible, perceptible, and effective manner, further advance the law-based governance of religious affairs, deepen United Front work for the private economy, do a good job in United Front work in various fields such as non-Party intellectuals and new social strata, and give full play to the important role of the United Front as a magic weapon.
In social work, we must expand and deepen Party building in emerging fields, strengthen the service and management of various social groups, do a good job in rural and community governance, refine and solidify public services, improve the social governance system, refine the systems and mechanisms for social work, and enhance the overall efficiency of social work.
In political and legal work, we must uphold the absolute leadership of the Party, put the people at the center, coordinate development and security, resolutely safeguard political security and social stability, fully safeguard and promote social fairness and justice, consolidate the primary-level foundations of political and legal work, and forge an iron army of political and legal personnel who are loyal, clean, and responsible.
For the work of the Party Committee Office, we must be good at planning the overall situation and grasping implementation, enhance the ability to provide advice and serve the overall interests, improve the capacity to coordinate all parties, strengthen the ability to supervise and inspect for implementation, and boost the capacity to provide accurate and efficient support.
Xu also stressed that Party affairs departments at all levels in the city must effectively strengthen self-improvement and always maintain political integrity, professional competence, fine conduct, and strict self-discipline.Party committees (leading Party groups) at all levels citywide must earnestly bear the primary responsibility for governing the Party, strengthen leadership over Party affairs work, and fully support Party affairs departments in performing their duties and responsibilities.
Municipal leaders Peng Xiandan, Li Weilin, Zheng Xiaohu, Hu Chen, and Wu Hanming attended the meeting.
