February 20th is the fourth day of the first lunar month, meaning the half of the Spring Festival holidays, and the return rush traffic on the expressway is witnessing a gradual increase. Huaihua Branch of Hunan Expressway Group has made a meticulous plan and thorough arrangements in advance as to the traffic,  implemented comprehensive service measures to ensure smooth traffic and provided safe and convenient return travel for drivers and passengers.

In terms of ensuring traffic efficiency, the focus is on on-site management at the toll station. In response to the return travel rush of small passenger vehicles, a sufficient number of toll lanes are opened, and the guidance plan for separating passenger and cargo vehicles may be adjusted at any time. By placing informational signs in the plaza areas and deploying additional personnel for traffic flow management and real-time direction, vehicles are guided to pass through quickly. Simultaneously, efforts are intensified in road patrol and maintenance. High-frequency safety inspections are carried out on bridges, tunnels, and sections prone to congestion. Hidden dangers on the surface of a road are promptly cleared to ensure a safe and smooth traffic.

In terms of joint efforts and information services, the “Multi-Party for One-Road ” collaboration mechanism is being deepened. Close coordination and joint operations are maintained with the expressway traffic police, emergency management, and other departments. This includes real-time sharing of surveillance footage and synchronized handling of emergencies to ensure rapid response and efficient resolution of issues such as traffic accidents and congestion. Since the beginning of this year, the Huaihua Branch has also established a cross-provincial data sharing platform with the Tongren Operation and Management Center of Guizhou Expressway Group, taking preemptive measures to prepare for peak traffic periods.

In terms of improving convenience for drivers and passengers, each toll station, relying on service platforms such as “Street Lamp & Post Station Service”, provides returning drivers and passengers with free boiled water, repair tools, emergency medicines and other services. At the same time, in response to the needs of returning tourists, they take the initiative to offer other services such as guidance, consultation, and traffic information along the route, allowing drivers and passengers to be satisfied during their return journey.
