On the afternoon of February 25, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, inspected and supervised work safety in urban areas. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping on work safety and earnestly follow the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, as well as the deployment requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government.This means that we must bear the political responsibility of promoting development and ensuring peace in the region, adhere to the people-centered approach and the supremacy of life, and maintain a bottom-line mindset and extreme scenario thinking. It is imperative to fully enforce work safety responsibilities, conduct in-depth investigations and rectifications of potential risks and hazards, and resolutely uphold the bottom line of work safety, so as to provide solid safety guarantees for a good start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Arriving at the Huaihua West Bus Station, Xu examined the implementation of traffic safety support measures on site. He pointed out that production safety must always be given top priority, safety responsibilities implemented in every post and every link, the inspection of vehicle safety performance and the safety training of drivers effectively strengthened, passenger travel services continuously optimized, and every effort made to ensure the safe, orderly and smooth travel of the people.
Upon arriving at the Huaxia Hutian Residential Community, Xu inspected the rectification of fire safety hazards on site. He stressed that fire safety concerns every household. It is essential to focus on key areas such as high-rise buildings and old residential communities to strengthen hazard investigation. All hazards identified must be rectified immediately and thoroughly.It is necessary to strengthen routine inspections and the maintenance of fire-fighting facilities,ensuring that evacuation routes are unobstructed and fire-fighting equipment is in good condition. Efforts should be made to enhance public fire safety education and emergency drills, improve residents’ ability to self-prevent and self-rescue, and effectively build a strong safety line of defense.
At the Huaihua Longxing Medical Gas Co., Ltd., Xu inspected the company’s work safety and the transportation of dangerous goods on site, and asked in detail about the scheduling of dangerous goods transport vehicles and the qualification review of drivers.He stressed that enterprises must strictly implement their primary responsibility for work safety, urge employees to abide by safety operation procedures, strengthen the full-chain safety supervision over storage, filling, transportation, wholesale and retail, and improve the intrinsic safety level of enterprises.
At the Jinlei Youjia Hotel, Xu entered the fire control room to check the operation of fire-fighting facilities and observed a fire emergency drill on site.He urged personnel in charge of the enterprise to strengthen routine inspections and emergency drills, conduct regular checks on key areas such as fire escape routes and fire-fighting facilities, promptly identify problems and eliminate hidden dangers, and ensure the rapid evacuation of personnel and unobstructed rescue access in emergencies.
At the Xuantong Fireworks and Firecrackers Shop, Xu inspected the storage of fireworks and firecrackers as well as the allocation of fire-fighting equipment on site. He emphasized that it was necessary to effectively strengthen the safety risk prevention and control of fireworks and firecrackers, strictly implement the eight mandatory measures of the "Five Prohibitions and Three Musts", conduct in-depth investigations and rectifications of various risks and hidden dangers, effectively enhance safety supervision over all links including the production, transportation, sales and setting off of fireworks and firecrackers, and resolutely prevent accidents.
