On January 10, a flag-raising ceremony was held at the Huaihua Municipal Public Security Bureau to mark the sixth Chinese People’s Police Day. Zeng Wenqian, vice mayor and head of Huaihua Municipal Public Security Bureau, attended it and delivered a speech.

At 9:00 a.m., the ceremony commenced. Police flag guards strode in unison, escorting the flag into the venue. To the resonant melody of the “Chinese People’s Police March”, the red and blue police flag was raised slowly, as all the police present stood at attention, eyes fixed on its ascent. Then, all the police solemnly pledged their vows before the flag, their resolute voices echoing a steadfast commitment to the Party and the people.

At the ceremony, Zeng Wenqian conferred commemorative medals to ten policeman representatives with 30 years of service and extended festive greetings to all the police and auxiliary police personnel in Huaihua City. He emphasized that the  public security authorities in Huaihua should focus their efforts to the improvement in terms of governance efficiency, governance efficiency, crimefighting effectiveness, new quality combat effectiveness, and overall competency of the force. Additionally, he urged them to faithfully fulfill the accountability or missions of public security organs in the new era, thus making contributions to steadily advancing the “Five New Missions and Four Development Goals” strategy and striving to build a regional central city bordering five provinces.

This year marks the inaugural year for the full implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). At this new historical point, Huaihua Public Security’s commitment to its mission or accountability of defusing risks, maintaining safety and stability and promoting development remains unshakable, thereby writing a new chapter of high-quality growth for the Huaihua Public Security in the new era.
