On January 27, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the list of Hunan Provincial-Level Enterprise Technology Centers recognized in 2025 (the 31st batch in total). Seven enterprises from Huaihua were included, namely Sany Environmental Industry Co., Ltd., Yuanling Shanneng Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Zhongjian Qipei Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Xulian Technology Co., Ltd., Huitong Huida Bamboo Industry Co., Ltd., Hongjiang Sanxing Metallurgical Material Co., Ltd., and Huaihua Hengqi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.
According to reports, the city of Huaihua has currently established 58 provincial-level enterprise technology centers, one national-level enterprise technology center, and boasted 637 high-tech enterprises.
According to the Hunan Provincial-Level Enterprise Technology Center Recognition and Management Measures, enterprises applying for provincial-level enterprise technology centers must meet a number of fundamental requirements. These include possessing development and competitive advantages within the industry, having industry-leading technological innovation capabilities and standards, and ensuring that the proportion of R&D expenditure to main business revenue meets specific criteria, among others.
In recent years, Huaihua has actively established platforms for deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application. By leveraging these platforms as a bridge, the city has guided enterprises to collaborate with universities and research institutes through jointly built platforms, thereby strengthening industry-academia-research collaborative innovation and enhancing the R&D capabilities of these platforms.
"At present, a number of large-scale enterprises in the city have established technological collaborations with universities and research institutes. For instance, the Huaihua High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has vigorously promoted the clinical application and expansion, achievement transformation, and technology promotion of related projects by leveraging the Academician Liu Liang Workstation," said a relevant official from the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.
The official stated that in the future, the city will further enhance the innovation capabilities of enterprises. By drawing upon technology experts from relevant research institutions and enterprises, it plans to host technology exchange events led by leading companies in various industries. This initiative aims to strengthen technical communication and cooperation among enterprises, foster an innovation-oriented mindset, and cultivate an atmosphere conducive to technological innovation. At the same time, efforts will be made to strengthen the development and management of enterprise innovation platforms. This includes reinforcing the dominant role of enterprises in innovation, enhancing services and guidance for the research and development of new products, and promoting the achievement of a series of advanced standards and significant patents.
