On the afternoon of January 16th, 2026, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee to convey and study the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important speeches and instructions, and to discuss the implementation opinions of Huaihua City. The meeting also focused on studying the spirit of relevant central documents, conveying and studying the spirit of Hunan Provincial Party Committee’s rural work conference, and discussing the implementation opinions of our city. Party committees (leading Party members’ groups) at all levels across the city should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of Xi’s important speech, deeply comprehend the decisive significance of the “two establishments,” adhere to the “two maintenances,” conscientiously fulfill the political responsibility of comprehensively and strictly governing the Party, and unswervingly advance the Party’s self-revolution in depth with higher standards and more practical measures. It is necessary to more resolutely and effectively implement the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, deepen and solidify political supervision, improve and perfect the implementation mechanism. It is necessary to more scientifically and effectively confine power within the cage of systems, focus on improving systems, enhance system execution, strengthen rigid constraints, and eradicate the soil and conditions for corruption to breed from the source. It is necessary to more soberly and firmly advance the anti-corruption struggle, maintain a high-pressure situation without wavering, continuously improve the penetration of anti-corruption, make greater efforts in promoting integration, and promote integrated governance through full-chain collaboration. Discipline inspection and supervision organs at all levels across the city should, in accordance with the requirements of being politically strong, capable, disciplined, and incorruptible, focus on forging a disciplinary inspection and supervision iron army that is loyal, clean, responsible, and capable of fighting and being good at fighting. The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement Xi’s instructions on the work of Party schools, conscientiously carry out the “Regulations on the Work of the Communist Party of China Party Schools (Administrative Colleges)” and the deployment requirements of national and provincial Party school work conferences, plan and promote the work of Party schools within the overall context of Party building and career development, earnestly fulfill the main responsibility of running, managing, and building Party schools, strengthen support and guarantees, and promote the high-quality development of the Party school cause in the city.
The meeting pointed out that over the past year, the Party groups of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, the Municipal Government, the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Intermediate People’s Court, and the Municipal People’s Procuratorate have taken the initiative to act in alignment with the overall situation and made significant contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the entire city.
