On the afternoon of December 15, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, visited the Bank of Communications in Shanghai and held a discussion with Zhang Baojiang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Bank of Communications and president of this bank. Xu expressed gratitude to the Bank of Communications for its strong support in the economic and social development of Huaihua. He stated that Huaihua is currently thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference, as well as the important speeches and directives of general secretary Xi Jinping on regarding Hunan's work. Anchored in the grand blueprint of achieving “Three Highlands and Four Innovations”, Huaihua is actively aligning with and integrating into major national strategies such as the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, expanding domestic and international openness, and striving to build itself into a regional central city at the intersection of five provinces. He sincerely hoped that Bank of Communications of Shanghai would provide greater support in areas such as the construction of Huaihua’s International Land Port, the development of its distinctive and advantageous industries, and the realization of its ecological product value, so as to comprehensively deepen government-bank-enterprise collaboration to inject more financial vitality into Huaihua’s high-quality development.
Zhang thanked Huaihua for its support to the development of Bank of Communications. He noted that Huaihua has a unique transportation location, rich natural resources, good development momentum, and great development potential. He promised that the Bank of Communications, by conscientiously implementing the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, would fully leverage its advantages in comprehensive financial services to deepen cooperation with Huaihua in key areas such as the construction of International Land Port, the development of characteristic advantageous industries, and the realization of ecological product value by actively expanding the field of financial services, and exploring effective paths for high-quality economic and social development in service areas.
Liu Pengtao, secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan Branch of the Bank of Communications and president of this bank, and some leaders from Huaihua municipality, including Li Weilin, Yin Peiguo, and Xiang Rulian, attended the meeting.
