To Power Up Innovation, 37 with Disabilities Graduate from New Media E-Commerce Bootcamp

On December 15, the five-day training program on new media E-Commerce for persons with disabilities in 2025 concluded successfully in Huaihua City. All 37 trainees from counties, cities, and districts across Huaihua completed the program equipped with enhanced skills and renewed confidence, ready to empower their career and entrepreneurial journeys with "digital wings."

The training program is a concrete initiative by the Huaihua Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation to advance the "E-commerce + Disability Assistance" model and implement employment support policies for persons with disabilities. At the opening ceremony, Yang Liu, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Municipal Federation, shared successful cases of local disabled entrepreneurs. She encouraged the trainees to seize the opportunities presented by new media and leverage Huaihua's distinctive agricultural products to increase their income and achieve prosperity.

Organized by Huaihua Dianchuang vocational technical training school, the program adopted a "Theory + Practice + Case Study" model, with its curriculum precisely tailored to the employment needs of persons with disabilities. Industry experts provided step-by-step guidance on a comprehensive range of topics—from defining a new media account's niche and producing short videos, to operating live commerce streams and ensuring e-commerce compliance, and further to applying AI tools and mastering sales techniques for local agricultural products like fruit and rice. This hands-on approach ensured that trainees could "understand the concepts, master the skills, and apply them effectively."

In the classroom, trainees overcame physical challenges and immersed themselves fully in the learning process. From setting up accounts and writing scripts to on-camera presence and interaction techniques, they refined their skills step by step, with many already capable of independently producing short videos and conducting simulated live streams. The participants learned from and supported one another, demonstrating a resilient and self-reliant spirit.

During the training, Wang Zhenping, Vice Chairperson of the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation and Chairperson of the Municipal Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, shared her own entrepreneurial journey to motivate the class. She also invited outstanding trainees to join the disability-inclusive anchor incubation base at her "Zhu Wu Que" Culture Media Company and offered to help market the participants' agricultural specialty products.
