On the afternoon of December 8th, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, chaired a meeting in Xupu County on achieving the economic and social development goals of 2025 for some counties, Hongjiang city, and Hecheng district. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, conscientiously implement the deployment requirements of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Provincial Government, and Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Huaihua Municipal Government, by strengthening confidence, sparing no effort, and overcoming difficulties, so as to achieve the economic and social development goals of 2025.

At the meeting, the representatives from Yuanling County, Chenxi County, Xupu County, Hecheng District, and relevant departments of Huaihua municipality, successively made a speech.
After carefully listening to their speeches, Xu pointed out that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasized the resolute achievement of the annual economic and social development goals, so all local authorities and related departments across Huaihua city should enhance their political stance, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and make every effort to focus on key areas by tackling difficult points and making up for shortcomings, and tapping into potential, so as to achieve the annual economic and social development goals and tasks. He added that we should fully leverage the role of economic counties as the "main drivers" and make more contributions to the city's economic growth. We need to focus on key tasks such as industrial development, boosting consumption, project construction, and attracting investment, in order to provide strong support for achieving the annual goals and tasks. In addition, effective measures should be taken to address the weaknesses and deficiencies, with precise and targeted efforts. What’s more, in order to realize target, we need to strengthen the overall coordination and promotion mechanism, consolidate responsibilities at all levels across the city, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of all parties, and form a strong joint force.
Xu stressed that we need to have a strong sense of responsibility to carry out regular inspections and rectification of safety hazards in all areas and industries. We will continue to focus on safety precautions in key industries such as road traffic, water transportation, construction, mining, hazardous chemicals, fireworks and firecrackers, urban gas, fire protection, forest fire prevention and extinguishing, and coordinate well on livelihood security, petition and stability maintenance, ecological environmental protection, and effective connection to ensure social harmony and stability.
On the morning of the 8th, Xu came to Luozishan Yao Township, Sumuxi Yao Township, and Houtang Yao Township of Chenxi County to supervise and inspect safety production, forest fire prevention, consolidating and expanding poverty alleviation achievements, and effectively connecting them with rural revitalization. He pointed out that it is necessary to strictly implement the responsibility of safety production and continuously improve the grassroots safety prevention and emergency response capabilities. We must vigorously develop industries that enrich the people in rural areas, effectively promote the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, and make every effort to broaden channels for increasing farmers' income. We must firmly prevent large-scale poverty relapse and make every effort to achieve effective results in the transitional period.
