The Coordination Meeting on Tourism Market Service and Support Work was held in Huaihua. It aims to optimize services and improve the city’s image of “A Blessed Land Making You Feel at Home” during the National Day & Mid-Autumn holiday.
On the afternoon of September 22, the meeting was held as planned in Huaihua. It focused on the reception services and safety guarantees for tourists during the double festival period. Hu Chen, member of the municipal standing committee and director of the municipal publicity department, and vice mayor Xiang Rulian attended the meeting.
The meeting stressed the necessity of strengthening responsibility implementation and on-site management.
In this case, municipal leaders and cadres across the city are required to take command on the front lines. The means that they ought to intensify efforts in environmental sanitation and public order improvement, standardize and optimize the layout of vendor stalls, promptly identify and resolve issues that could tarnish the city's image. This, therefore, will help maintain a clean and tidy urban and scenic area, ensuring a better experience for visitors.
A commitment to maintaining safety plays an essential part. We must thoroughly conduct safety inspections and rectifications for electricity and fire usage at tourist attractions and inspect safety hazards in amusement facilities, tourist vehicles, and boats, effectively improving the inherent safety levels of the attractions.
It is also a moral obligation on the part of the municipal government to guarantee safety as a bottom line. Investigations and rectifications of potential hazards—including electrical and fire safety in tourist areas, as well as amusement facilities, tourist vehicles, and boats—must be rigorously carried out to substantially enhance intrinsic safety levels.
Parking layouts and traffic organization should be further optimized to ensure safe and smooth travel for visitors. Additionally, the operational order of the transportation market must be strictly regulated, with strengthened management of taxis and ride-hailing services to prevent practices such as overcharging or fraud, presenting a civilized and friendly image to all guests.
The meeting also called for the full implementation of the city’s five preferential tourism measures designed to benefit and welcome tourists, ensuring that policy benefits are accurately and directly delivered.
During the meeting, attendees were briefed on the preparation plans for the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays. Subsequently, departments including transport, emergency management, and market regulation, as well as Hecheng District and Zhongfang County, expressed their resolution to ensure a successful cultural and tourism period.
