On September 27, the Operation Center for China Supply and Marketing Group · Huaihua Rural Issues (issues relating to agriculture, rural areas and farmers) Industrial Park was officially put into use, indicating that the development of modern agriculture and opening-up in the Wuling Mountain Area have entered a new stage. The operation of this center not only injects strong impetus into the upgrading of the regional agricultural industry, but also gives full play to Huaihua’s geographical advantage as a hub at the border of Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. It is committed to building a bridge for the import and export of agricultural products between Wuling Mountain Area and ASEAN countries, which will enhance the role of domestic and international dual circulations in the agricultural sector.
China Supply and Marketing Group · Huaihua Rural Issues (issues relating to agriculture, rural areas and farmers) Industrial Park is not only a key Hunan provincial and Huaihua municipal industrial project, but also the single largest industrial investment among the three core industrial parks of Huaihua International Land Port. With a total area of approximately 839 mu (about 138.2 acres)and a total construction area of about 420,000 square meters, the project represents a total investment of CNY 2.2 billion. Since its inception, it has been entrusted with the significant mission of promoting regional industrial integration.
“Located in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountain Economic Cooperation Zone, Huaihua boasts abundant ecological resources and a wide variety of characteristic agricultural products, including the dominant categories such as tea, Chinese herbal medicine, fruits and vegetables, and oil-tea camellia. However, for a long time, many quality agricultural products have been ‘hidden in the deep mountains and unknown to people’, making it difficult to maximize their value.” Ma Yongxiang, general manager of Supply and Marketing Commerce and Logistics (Huaihua) Co., Ltd. As the vanguard in serving Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Farmers (the three rural issues), China Supply and Marketing Group will develop the park into an integrated, modern service platform. By introducing leading enterprises, cultivating new agricultural management entities, and building a networked e-commerce platform, the Group will effectively integrate regional agricultural resources, promote the development of agricultural products , and enhance market competitiveness.
The project focuses on three core areas: cold chain storage, green agricultural product processing, and smart logistics distribution. It is accurately planned to establish eight dedicated functional centers: an Agricultural Product Trading Center, Agricultural Materials Trading Center, Agricultural Machinery and Tools Trading Center, E-commerce Center, Storage and Logistics Center, Agricultural Materials Cloud Warehouse Center, Cold Chain Center, and Green Agricultural Product Processing Center.
In the future, the project will deeply leverage the nationwide resource network of the Supply and Marketing Group, fully capitalize on the regional advantages of the Wuling Mountain Economic Cooperation Zone, and harness the logistics hub of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. It aims to build an integrated characteristic hub-type trade and logistics platform combining “exhibition and sales + online and offline operations + storage and processing + logistics distribution + foreign trade services.” This platform will not only serve the vast domestic market but also extend its reach to ASEAN countries and Southeast Asian regions, establishing a key hub for cross-regional industrial collaboration.
After the project is completed, it will play a key role in bolstering the food safety, stabilizing agricultural product prices, improving the people’s livelihood supply system, and enabling rural revitalization. And it will promote the accelerated upgrading of rural economy in Huaihua from decentralization to scale, from tradition to standardization, and from regionalization to internationalization, injecting new vitality into local economic development.
