The city plans to unveil new experiences of Wuxi Culture with an original and inviting pamphlet
On September 16, Huaihua served as the host city for events supportive of the Fifth Hunan Tourism Development Conference, attracting a great number of visitors from across the country. At the various toll stations along the Huaihua Expressway, "Street Light" volunteers set up service points early in the morning to provide tourists with drinking water, emergency medicines, and other supplies as well as practical services such as travel guides, scenic spot introductions, and route planning. Among the highlights, the cultural and creative product "Wuxi Shanhai Pass"(a promotion pamphlet) became a focal point of the event, earning widespread praise from visitors.
That morning, at the exit of the Huaihua West Toll Station on the G65 Baomao Expressway, Ms. Tian, a tourist from Changsha, got one of the specific pamphlets. After stamping it with the exclusive "Yushu Wan" seal, she drove to the Jingping Ancient Village. It was at this village which also features a millennia-old postal road that she listened to the "Sound of Grand Music," . Then she headed to the Zhongfang Toll Station on the G60 Hukun Expressway where she unlocked the second unique stamp. Her next stop was the Anjiang Agricultural School Memorial Park, where she was exposed to the history of hybrid rice research and collected the third stamp... Each and every stamp of the pamphlet bears the cultural imprint of its scenic spot. As Ms. Tian remarked, “It is not only a souvenir of the journey but also like a‘culture passport,’guiding us through the landscapes and heritage of Huaihua, adding joy to the exploration of Wuxi.
"The Wuxi Shanhai Pass" derives its core design inspiration from Huaihua's unique geographical advantages and developmental vision of "connecting mountains and reaching the sea." It boasts cultural landmarks such as Tianwen Island, Qianyang Ancient Town, and the Zhijiang Surrender Memorial Arch. The "Huaihua Cultural Travel Guide" not only outlines premium travel routes in great detail but also integrates historical and cultural insights and practical visitor information for each attraction. Serving as a "hack for clearing the task," it seamlessly links the stunning landscapes of Wuxi for an enriched travel experience.
This pass is of practical and commemorative value. Visitors can even obtain the pass at a "Street Light" volunteer service point and have it stamped with exclusive souvenir seals at corresponding scenic areas the moment they exit at any of the six toll stations along Huaihua’ s premium "Three Rivers One Bay" tourist routes, including Huaihua South, Huaihua West, Huaihua North, Hongjiang, Anjiang, and Zhijiang.
The pass is reported to contain 12 designated areas for stamp collection. In addition to obtaining the exclusive stamps from the aforementioned six toll stations, visitors who collect any six additional scenic area stamps can also engage in the "Show Me Your Wuxi Shanhai Pass" event. By sharing their stamp collection journey on Douyin (TikTok) and tagging the official account of Huaihua Expressway, they are encouraged to redeem a "Huaihua Expressway Culture and Travel Gift Package."
"It is such a rewarding way to explore the scenery and earn gifts at the same time!" said Mr. Chen, a tourist from Guangzhou, after stamping his first seal at the Anjiang Toll Station. He eagerly planned the next steps of his trip: "I’m on my way to Hongjiang and Tongdao to collect all the stamps as soon as possible and then go home, loaded with the “grand present” of Huaihua.
