On the afternoon of September 5th, 2025, the 4th Huaihua Tourism Development Conference and Qiao’s Chinese Eight-Ball Masters Tournament kicked off in Zhijiang County. Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, announced the opening ceremony. Sean Singer, president of the World Billiards Association, Qiao Yuanxu, chairman and CEO of Qinhuangdao Qiaoshi Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Gong Tiejun, deputy director of Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, He Zunqing, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Commission, and Li Wanwan, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, attended the conference.

The current Municipal Tourism Development Conference and Qiao’s Chinese Eight- Ball Masters Tournament are jointly organized by the Municipal Party Committee Publicity Department, Municipal Culture, Tourism, Radio, Sports Bureau, Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County Committee and County Government, and Qinhuangdao Qiao’s Industrial Group Co., Ltd. They focus on answering the “integration proposition” of culture and technology, culture and tourism, adhere to the integration of “meeting” and “competition”, do a good job in the integration of “culture and tourism+technology+competition+industry”, expand the influence of cultural tourism brands such as the blessed land of Huaihua and peace culture of Zhijiang, continue to promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry, and strive to build it into a pillar industry, livelihood industry, and happiness industry.
At the opening ceremony, Xu presented the flag to Chenxi County, the host of the 5th Huaihua Tourism Development Conference, and Liang Zhiping, secretary of the Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County Committee, made a special promotion on cultural tourism, meanwhile holding the kickoff ceremony of Qiao’s Chinese Eight-Ball Masters and the celebrity player exhibition match.

Before the meeting, the attending guests visited and inspected key cultural and tourism projects such as the Victory and Surrender Memorial Hall for Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Peace Lake Land Light Show, Peace City—Flying Tiger Street and Memorial Hall, Metaverse Technology Experience Hall, Peach Blossom Island Love Camp, and the development of the national intangible cultural heritage of Yuanzhou stone carving industry.
