On the morning of June 30th, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, focusing on studying general secretary Xi Jinping’s important article “Guiding Economic and Social Development with Medium- and Long Term Planning is an Important Way for Our Party to Govern the Country and Government” published in the “Qiushi” magazine, and studying the implementation plan of the spirit of Xi’s article in Huaihua city; conveying and studying the spirit of the speech made by Shen Xiaoming, secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, during his investigation and supervision in Huaihua, and studying the implementation plan of the spirit of Shen’s speech in Huaihua; conveying the spirit of the work promotion meeting on consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation of Hunan province and effectively connecting the achievements with rural revitalization, the spirit of the concentrated rectification and promotion meeting on improper conducts and corruptions around the mass in the province, and the spirit of the speech of Liu Hongbing, member of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and head of Publicity Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, during his research in Huaihua, and the implementation plan of the spirit of Liu’s speech in Huaihua city.
It was emphasized in the meeting that it needs to thoroughly study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on the formulation and implementation of the five-year plan for national economic and social development, comprehensively implement the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the work requirements of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, accurately grasp the stage requirements of the “15th Five Year Plan” period by closely combining with the actual development of Huaihua city, conducting in-depth investigation and research, widely listening to opinions, accurately positioning, highlighting characteristics, giving full play to advantages, focusing on key areas, scientifically planing the strategic goals, methods, paths, and key tasks of Huaihua’s “15th Five Year Plan” development, so as to make a high quality “15th Five Year Plan” of the city and promote a high-quality development of the city.
It was stressed in the meeting that it needs to conscientiously implement the spirit of the speech made by Shen Xiaoming, secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, during his investigation and supervision in Huaihua, solidly carry out flood prevention and disaster relief work, and accelerate the filling of the gaps in people's livelihoods in key areas. In addition, efforts should be made to conduct in-depth risk and hidden danger investigation and rectification, have disaster recovery and reconstruction, and restore normal production and living order in the disaster area as soon as possible.
