On the afternoon of July 21st, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee to convey and study the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping’s latest important speeches and important replies, and to study the implementation of Xi’s important speeches in Huaihua city; convey and study the spirit of relevant documents of the Party Central Committee, listen to reports on the work of Huaihua Commission of Communist Youth League, and arrange and deploy related work; convey and study the spirit of the meeting of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, analyze the economic operation situation of Huaihua city in the first half of the year, and study and deploy economic work for the second half of the year; convey the spirit of the semi-annual work promotion meeting of Hunan Provincial Discipline Inspection and Supervision Organs in 2025 and the symposium of the secretaries from Huaihua Municipal and Counties’ Discipline Inspection Commissions, and study the implementation of Huaihua city.
It was emphasized in the meeting that general secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Central Urban Work Conference scientifically answered major theoretical and practical questions such as who urban development is for, who to rely on, what kind of city to build, and how to build cities, providing fundamental guidance for doing urban work well in the new era and new journey. So we must conscientiously study, understand, and fully implement the spirit of Xi’s important speech, firmly grasp the overall requirements, important principles, and key tasks of doing a good job in urban work, strengthen the Party’s comprehensive leadership over urban work, earnestly adhere the principle of constructing the city for people, vigorously promote the optimization of urban structure, the transformation of kinetic energy, the improvement of quality, green transformation, cultural continuity, and governance efficiency, accelerate the integrated development of Hecheng District and Zhongfang County, strive to keep urban safety, and accelerate the construction of a modern city for people. In addition, we should coordinate and strengthen the construction of county cities and central towns, and promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas.
It was stressed in the meeting that we need to deeply study and implement the important reply spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping to eight film artists including Tian Hua, so as to lead the literary and artistic workers of Huaihua city to firmly establish cultural confidence, shoulder cultural missions, root themselves in the people and life, and create more exquisite works that sing the spirit of the times to express the voice of the people, and showcase the image of Huaihua.
It was underscored in the meeting that we need to deeply study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on Party building and youth work, adhere to the principle of Party management over youth work, improve the system and mechanism of Party building leading the youth league, coordinate and promote the work of leading theoretical armed forces, strengthening organizational foundations, and promoting excellent work styles, drive the Communist Youth League to enhance its leadership, organizational, and service capabilities, so as to mobilize and lead the vast number of young people in the city to listen to the Party and follow the Party unwaveringly.
It was pointed out in the meeting that in the first half of this year, Huaihua city’s economic operation showed a trend of “steady progress and new improvement”, with the growth rate of major indicators higher than the same period last year, higher than the national average level, and higher than the expected target. All related departments in the city should accurately assess the current economic situation, deeply analyze the differences and internal logic of major indicators, adhere to problem-solving orientation, take effective measures, further boost consumption, accelerate project construction, firmly promote the development of industries, focus on attracting businesses and investment, promote the implementation and effectiveness of key reform issues, carefully prepare for the 5th Hunan Provincial Tourism Development Conference, effectively guarantee and improve people’s livelihoods, prevent and resolve various risks and hidden dangers, continue to consolidate and catch up with the rising development momentum, and strive to achieve the annual goals and tasks. All levels of party committees (party groups) in the city must always adhere to the principle of recognizing heroes through practical work and employing cadres based on actual achievements, and refine and identify cadres on the front line of economic work. Leaders at all levels should further establish and practice a correct view of political achievements, promote a practical work style, take on responsibilities effectively, and promote high-quality development.
It was underlined in the meeting that we need to deeply study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the Party’s self revolution, conscientiously implement the deployment requirements of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, firmly support the discipline inspection and supervision organs in strengthening their supervisory responsibilities, solidly carry out political supervision, case investigation and handling, centralized rectification, political inspection, and promoting reform through cases, so as to win the overall battle of the anti-corruption struggle.
