On the afternoon of June 12, the mobilization meeting for the Fifth Hunan Tourism Development Conference (Huaihua) was held. Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, and Li Aiwu, deputy director of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee's Propaganda Department and director of the Hunan Provincial Cultural and Tourism Department, attended the meeting and each made a speech. He Zunqing, deputy secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee's political and legal committee, presided over the meeting. Li Wanqian, chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, and Niu Shunsheng, chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, attended the meeting.
In his speech, Xu Zhongjian pointed out that we must thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's cultural thoughts and his important expositions on tourism development, fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the requirements of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, effectively improve our political position, strengthen our mission, and regard hosting the Provincial Tourism Development Conference as the top priority of the city at present. We must strengthen our confidence and determination, work hard, and go all out to fight the tough battle of preparatory work.
Xu Zhongjian emphasized that we must insist on high-quality and efficient preparations, plan activities with innovative ideas, and ensure that they are new and colorful; that we must implement the special action of "Making You Feel at Home" to comprehensively improve service quality and efficiency, mobilize all available resources and forces to continuously strengthen coordination and linkage; that we must make every effort to promote project construction, highlight key projects, ensure that they are on schedule and strive to advance ahead of schedule; that we must vigorously carry out investment promotion, highlight the introduction of cultural and tourism industry projects and leading enterprises; that we must adhere to market-oriented conferences to achieve sustainable development; that we must do a good job in publicity and promotion, and continue to polish cultural and tourism brands such as "Blessed Huaihua·Makes You Feel at Home", "Huaihua – a Land of Scenery, Delicacies and Nostalgia", and "One Seed·Changes the World"; that we must firmly adhere to the bottom line of work, strictly abide by discipline requirements, adhere to frugality in holding conferences, and ensure safety and stability; and that we must strengthen organizational leadership, comprehensively consolidate work responsibilities, strengthen supervision and rewards and punishments, create a strong atmosphere, gather strong synergy, and implement it with extraordinary efforts and measures.
In his speech, Li Aiwu emphasized that we must highlight culture, anchor the "special" positioning, and demonstrate the unique charm of Huaihua, the blessed land, to the whole province, to the whole country, and to the world. We must keep up with the requirements, find a good "real" landing point, and hold conferences in a frugal, market-oriented, and sustainable manner. We must improve the mechanism, enhance the awareness of "speed", reverse the construction schedule, fight with a chart, dispatch smoothly, and promote the work vigorously. We must take the overall situation into consideration, establish the concept of "overallness", and promote all-round tourism according to local conditions. We must pay attention to publicity, create a "hot" atmosphere, choose the right perspective, and use small figures and small stories to leverage large public attention. We must plan first, improve the quality of "tourism", and make the Tourism Development Conference an important cornerstone for leading the high-quality development of Huaihua's cultural tourism industry. We must develop in a coordinated manner, do a good job of "integration", highlight "culture + tourism" and "culture + technology", strive to create new scenes, cultivate new formats, and promote the deep integration and two-way support of the first, second and third industries. We must make up for the shortcomings, create a "beautiful" environment, and win the hearts of tourists. We must improve our image, enhance our ability to "govern", and comprehensively improve the civilization of the tourism industry and the satisfaction of tourists in Huaihua.
At the meeting, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, Hecheng District, the Municipal Urban Development Group, Hunan Construction Investment Group, the Municipal Tourism Hotel Industry Association, and citizen representative Li Jing also made speeches repectively.
