On the afternoon of May 26, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and head of the Leading Group for Publicity, Ideology, Culture and United Front Work of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over the second meeting of the Leading Group for Publicity, Ideology, Culture and United Front Work of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee in 2025 to deeply study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s cultural ideas, and conscientiously implement the spirit of the first plenary meeting of the Leading Group for Publicity, Ideology and Culture Work of Hunan Provincial Party Committee in 2025. The attendants firstly listened to the report on Huaihua city's publicity, ideology and culture work, and then studied and deployed the work of the next stage. The leaders of Huaihua municipality, such as Li Weilin, Yin Peiguo, Hu Chen, and Xiang Rulian, attended the meeting.
It was pointed out in the meeting that all departments of the city should deeply study and implement Xi Jinping’s cultural ideas, conscientiously implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the work requirements of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, firmly grasp the correct direction of publicity, ideological and cultural work, effectively carry out the integrated development of theoretical study, news and public opinion, civilization construction, cultural tourism, and ideological security, and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of publicity, ideological and cultural work, and consolidate strong positive energy for high-quality development.
It was stressed in the meeting that we must strengthen the Party's innovative theoretical armament, persistently use Xi Jinping’s ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era to solidify our heart and soul, improve and implement the long-term mechanism of “forging our soul by learning, increasing our intelligence by learning, rectifying our style by learning, and promoting our work by learning”, so as to establish a theoretical publicity brand of “A Model Huaihua” and promote the Party's innovative theories to be more deeply rooted in the hearts of the broad masses of the people. In addition, we should consolidate and strengthen mainstream ideological and public opinion, highlight the promotion of major themes, strengthen public opinion supervision and guidance, effectively enhance the influence of news and public opinion dissemination, and promote the formation of a vivid pattern of “positive energy” and “great popularity”. What’s more, we must continue to strengthen the construction of spiritual civilization, better coordinate the cultivation, practice, and creation of civilization, cultivate and practice socialist core values, deeply promote the ideological and political education practice activities of “My Anjiang Tour”, and continuously build the brand of ideological and political courses of “Learning from Yuan Longping and Striving to be a Good Seed”. Furthermore, we should promote the prosperity and development of cultural and artistic undertakings, deepen the reform of cultural system and mechanism, continuously optimize cultural services and cultural product supply, establish and improve the mechanism for creating high-quality literary and artistic works, perfect the inheritance system of Wuxi culture, strengthen the protection and utilization of cultural relics, so as to make Huaihua cultural relics and cultural heritage “come alive”. We also need to achieve a perfect integration of culture and technology, as well as of culture and tourism, and make every effort to prepare for the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, by focusing on constructing a first-class national tourism and vacation destination. Last but not least, we must resolutely prevent risks in the ideological field, strictly implement the responsibility system for ideological work, strengthen the management of various positions, improve the comprehensive network governance system, and ensure ideological security by adhering to and strengthening the leadership of the Party, enhancing political leadership, consolidating work responsibilities, focusing on team building, and forming a joint force for joint management work.
