On April 22, a symposium was held for the 2025 Wuling Cultural Tourism Conference in Chongqing Municipality. Xiang Rulian, deputy mayor of Huaihua City, and Wang Hao, second-level inspector of Chongqing Municipal Committee of Culture and Tourism Development, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the two sides reached a basic consensus on topics such as resource sharing, route interconnection, and mutual exchange of customers. The Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports introduced the current situation of Huaihua's cultural tourism industry and the progress of the preparations for the Fifth Hunan Tourism Development Conference. Hongjiang, a county-level city of Huaihua City, reported the plan and preparations for the 2025 Wuling Cultural Tourism Conference.

Xiang Rulian said that Huaihua is steadily accelerating project construction, focusing on brand marketing, and upgrading service quality, and as a result, its cultural tourism boasts a good momentum. We will closely follow the goal of "hosting conferences to promote the city", deepen regional cooperation based on the alliance platform, take the cultural tourism conference as an opportunity, consolidate the foundation for the development of cultural tourism, and make Hunan Province and Wuling Mountain area cultural tourism original and colorful, Xiang noted, adding that with brand co-construction as the link, we will create a differentiated product matrix, integrate and utilize resources, plan cross-regional theme routes, preferential joint tickets and precision marketing to enhance the sense of gain for tourists and the tourism market. Through the conference, we will focus on the entire chain of "food, accommodation, travel, shopping and entertainment", explore new paths for the high-quality development of Wuling cultural tourism, and strive to achieve a win-win situation for the government, market entities and tourists, Xiang said.

Wang Hao said that Chongqing and Huaihua are both located in the hinterland of Wuling Mountains. The two sides will use cultural and tourism resources as a link to strengthen regional cooperation, hold the Wuling Cultural and Tourism Conference, and jointly tell the cultural and tourism story of Chongqing and Hunan.
