On April 10, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, human resources and social security bureaus in 13 counties, county-level cities and districts launched the second on-site reception event with the focus on deepening the governance of wage arrears, particularly addressing issues related to unpaid wages for migrant workers in the construction sector and projects with state-owned company investment and on working to resolve cases of repeated visits by migrant workers regarding unpaid wages, aiming to safeguard the lawful rights and interests of migrant workers.

This kind of activities led by bureau/department heads have become a routine practice of bodies of human resources and social security in Hunan Province, which has significantly promoted the resolution of risks in the human resources field. With meticulous guidance from the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Municipal Joint Meeting Office of Petition Reception, the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security formulated a detailed activity plan in line with local realities. By utilizing online and offline platforms, channels for expressing public demands, coordinating interests, and safeguarding rights and interests have been further standardized.

During the reception, staff members listened to the demands of the people carefully and worked out solutions together with relevant departments and units; for those unable to be resolved immediately, staff members promptly compiled and assessed the information, set deadlines for resolution, and provided feedback, while also patiently providing psychological counseling for the petitioners.

Statistics show that this reception event addressed 21 cases with a total of 72 visits, resolving 14 issues raised by the public on-site. Issues that could not be resolved immediately were handed over to relevant departments for continued follow-up. The Huaihua Human Resources and Social Security system will maintain its efforts to effectively tackle prominent issues such as wage arrears, contributing to the maintenance of social harmony and stability.
