On the afternoon of February 19th, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and director of Huaihua Municipal Audit Commission, chaired the 7th Meeting of the Huaihua Municipal Audit Commission. The meeting aimed to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on audit work and Premier Li Qiang's relevant speech requirements. It also aimed to carry out the spirits of National Audit Work Conference, of the 7th Meeting of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee Audit Commission, and of the Hunan Provincial Audit Work Conference. Xu listened to reports on the current situation, reviewed relevant documents, and studied and arranged the city's audit work in 2025. Li Chunqiu, deputy secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, mayor of the Huaihua Municipal Government, and deputy director of the Huaihua Municipal Audit Commission, attended the meeting.
Over the past year, as audit institutions at all levels in the city, we meticulously implemented the decision-making arrangements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, as well as the work requirements of the Hunan Party Committee, of the Hunan Provincial Government, of the Huaihua Party Committee and of Huaihua Municipal Government. We fulfilled our duties by shouldering squarely the political responsibility of audit supervision and by taking the stance of the economic supervision. We assumed responsibilities in a practical manner, making contributions to the economic and social development of the whole city. At the same time, we will fully recognize and effectively address the existing problems and deficiencies in the work.
In accordance with the meeting, it is necessary to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on audit work and promote the refinement, implementation, and institutionalization of the Party's leadership over audit work. It is necessary to grasp the political attributes and political functions of audit supervision, strengthen political guidance, and firmly follow the correct direction of audit supervision. It is necessary to adhere to conducting audit supervision from a political perspective to ensure an unimpeded implementation of government decrees and strict compliance.
It is necessary to focus on areas including the implementation of major policies, the advancement of key reforms, the improvement in the efficiency of financial funds, the standardization of power operation, the risk prevention and resolution, the improvement in people's well-being, and the assistance in combating corruption and rectifying chaos. This means that we will carry out audits and use high-quality audits in order to safeguard high-quality development.
It is necessary to take tough measures to rectify problems and emphasize analyzing the causes and putting forward audit suggestions from the perspective of the institutional mechanism. It is necessary to deepen the integration, coordination, and concerted efforts of audit supervision with inspection supervision, discipline inspection supervision, daily supervision of cadres, and supervision by the people's congress. This means that we will compact the responsibility for rectification, and do a solid job in the "second half of the article" of audit rectification.
It is necessary to establish political loyalty, improve professional capabilities and strictly enforce discipline and work style.
