On the morning of January 4, 2025, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, presided over a symposium for network representatives to publicize and promote the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference. Ouyang Bin, a first level inspector of Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Wu Xianyun, deputy director of the Provincial Party Committee’s Cyberspace Administration, He Zunqing, deputy secretary of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Municipal Party Committee’s Political and Legal Affairs Commission, and city leaders Li Weilin, Hu Chen, and Xiang Rulian were in attendance.
At the meeting, 13 representatives from the internet, including “City Roadshow”, “Ding Mo”, “Great Qin Newspaper Bureau”, “Hairstylist Xiaohua”, “Eating in Huaihua—Dalong”, “Buddie Liu Returning to Hometown”, “Huaihua Chubby Buddie”, “Lassie Xin”, “Manny Recounting Mayang”, “Xiangxi Sisters Shi”, “The South Wind Embraces My Heart”, “Xiaoxiao Xiangxi Love Public Welfare Slow Train”, and “Dean Hua”, successively spoke and put forward constructive opinions on Huaihua hosting the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, strengthening cultural and tourism brand promotion, and enhancing the visibility and influence of Huaihua’s cultural and tourism. Xu listened carefully to the speeches and interacted with everyone, requesting the relevant departments of the city to carefully study, fully absorb, and implement the opinions raised by everyone after the meeting.
After listening to the speech, Xu on behalf of Huaihua Municipal Party Committee and Government, expressed gratitude to all network representatives who care about and support the development of Huaihua’s cultural and tourism industry. Last year, Huaihua successfully hosted the 11th Global Hunan Business Conference, and “Hairstylist Xiaohua” became popular all over the internet, greatly enhancing its popularity and influence, said Xu. It ushered in a new situation of rising up for the second time and striving to catch up and rise, opening up a new stage of promoting high-quality development with high-level openness, and initially establishing a new image of an open, inclusive, and vibrant city.
The development of cultural tourism in Huaihua has a foundation, although there is still a gap at present, the future is promising and the prospects are bright, Xu stated. People will deeply study and implement the important discourse of general secretary Xi Jinping on cultural and tourism work, seize the major opportunity of hosting the 5th Hunan Tourism Development Conference, focus on the goal of “revitalizing the city through hosting the conference”, gather the powerful forces from all aspects, promote the deep integration of culture and tourism, and promote the high-quality development of Huaihua’s tourism industry.
