On the afternoon of January 8, Xu Zhongjian, secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, held the 2024 Symposium on Soliciting Opinions of the Democratic Life organized by the Standing Committee of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee with the purpose of garnishing the opinions from secretaries of the Grassroots Party organizations, Party members and representatives of "Two Representatives and One Committee" on the Standing Committee of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee. Attendees included Peng Xiandan, Li Weilin, Yang Zhihua and other Huaihua municipal leaders.
During the meeting, Chen Jiangtao, Shi Yanmei, Xiang Chunhua, Tian Mulin, Zhang Shaojun, Li Jiabin, Yang Chunhui, Luo Ronghui, Li Yongzhong, Yang Qiming, You Fei, Li Xiaohong and other representatives combined their respective work with their practical experiences and thus offered specific opinions and suggestions on how to accelerate the construction of the Huaihua International Land Port and the development of neighboring industries. To achieve these goals, we will resort to various means. Chief among these include stimulating consumption vitality, speeding up the revitalization of the seed industry, solidly promoting the all-round revitalization of rural areas, advancing the in-depth integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism, optimizing the layout of educational resources, strengthening the construction of medical and health personnel teams, enhancing the institution of rural emergency disaster relief capabilities, supporting the joint construction, sharing and co-governance of communities, strengthening the construction of bus passenger stations, strengthening the construction of a law-based business environment, and innovating grassroots governance.
After listening to everyone's speeches, Xu said they had put forward many insightful and valuable opinions and suggestions from different perspectives. They did so in a meticulous manner and they have come from all walks of life and worked in different fields. We will, in this case, carefully sort these opinions and suggestions out and compile a list which will be prioritized as an important part of the self-examination for the democratic life meeting of the Standing Committee of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee. The list will also be translated into specific work arrangements and measures. As for the specific problems raised, those that can be solved will be studied and resolved asap. As far as those that cannot be solved for the time being are concerned, a task list and a timetable will be drawn up to ensure their gradual settlement.
According to Xu, the standing committee will thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Democratic Life Meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. By taking the specific meeting as a benchmark and staying committed to the deployment and requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the provincial Party committee, we will solicit opinions on a broader scope, adhere to seeking truth from facts, and carefully examine problems. Especially in response to the opinions and suggestions solicited, we will conscientiously consider our own thoughts, responsibilities and work, earnestly carry out criticism and self-criticism, and hold a high-standard and high-quality democratic life meeting.
